Building Patient Investors Since 2019

We started Xretech because too many people were chasing quick returns and losing what they couldn't afford to lose.

Our approach isn't flashy. We teach the fundamentals of long-term investing — the kind that helps you build actual wealth over decades, not months. It's about understanding market cycles, managing emotions, and making decisions based on data rather than panic.

Why We Do This Differently

Most financial education sells dreams. Get rich in six months. Triple your money with this one strategy. Beat the market every quarter.

That's nonsense, and you probably already know it. Real investing is boring. It's about consistency over years, not excitement over weeks. And honestly, that's what makes it work.

We started in Kamloops with a small group of people who were tired of gimmicks. They wanted to understand how markets actually function — the real mechanics behind portfolio growth, risk management, and asset allocation. Six years later, we're still teaching those same principles because they don't change with market trends.

What Guides Our Teaching

These aren't corporate values plastered on a wall. They're the principles that shape every lesson we create.

1

Long-Term Focus

We don't teach day trading or quick flips. Our programs center on strategies that compound over 10, 20, or 30 years. That's where real wealth comes from.

2

Honest Communication

Markets go down. Portfolios lose value sometimes. We talk about losses as openly as gains, because understanding both is critical to making smart decisions.

3

Data Over Emotion

Your gut feeling isn't an investment strategy. We teach you how to read financial data, interpret trends, and make decisions based on evidence rather than fear or excitement.

Thorsten Rask

Director of Investment Education

15 years managing portfolios for mid-sized institutions. Now teaching everyday investors the same strategies that worked for clients with eight-figure accounts.

How We Started Teaching This Way

Thorsten spent most of his career managing institutional money. Pension funds, endowments, family offices — clients who measured success in decades, not quarters. The strategies were straightforward: diversification, cost control, periodic rebalancing, and patience.

But when he started working with individual investors around 2018, he noticed something troubling. People were constantly jumping between strategies, panicking during corrections, and chasing whatever performed well last quarter. They were applying short-term thinking to long-term goals.

"I watched someone sell their entire portfolio in March 2020 because they were convinced everything would collapse. A year later, they'd missed one of the strongest recoveries in market history. That's when I knew we needed better education."

So we built Xretech around one core idea: teach people the same patient, data-driven approach that institutional investors use. No hype. No promises of overnight success. Just solid fundamentals that work when you give them time.

Our programs launching in autumn 2025 will cover portfolio construction, risk assessment, behavioral finance, and long-term planning. They're designed for people who want to understand investing deeply enough to make their own informed decisions — not follow someone else's hot tips.

What You'll Actually Learn

Our approach strips away the complexity that financial institutions add to justify their fees. We focus on understanding market fundamentals, building diversified portfolios, and developing the discipline to stick with a plan when emotions run high.

You'll learn how to read financial statements, evaluate risk across different asset classes, and construct a portfolio that matches your timeline — not someone else's idea of what investing should look like.

And you'll understand why patience matters more than cleverness. The investors who do well long-term aren't the ones constantly tweaking their strategy. They're the ones who built a solid plan and had the discipline to maintain it through market cycles.
